Agentic AI Products | Remote, US
We’re supporting a well-funded AI startup building agentic products that automate everyday tasks and workflows.
They’re looking for a Backend Engineer with strong Python skills and experience building the systems behind AI-powered applications.
Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
Develop infrastructure to support AI agents, tool integrations and automated workflows.
Integrate LLM services, external APIs and data sources.
Design reliable systems for asynchronous tasks, data processing and application state.
Improve performance, scalability and reliability as products grow.
Work closely with AI, product and frontend engineers to ship features into production.
Strong commercial backend development experience using Python.
Experience designing APIs, working with databases and deploying production services.
Hands-on experience supporting agentic AI products or building backend systems for AI applications.
Familiarity with LLM integrations, tool calling and workflow orchestration.
Understanding of asynchronous processing, testing and monitoring.
Comfortable owning features from design through deployment in a fast-moving startup.
